MEG has 3 production plants for glass containers with 6 furnaces, and 17 production lines to enable us the flexibility in running multiple articles for our customers: running short, medium or long run in Flint, Green and Amber. The fourth plant is a packaging and containers Company.
Our Egyptian ancestors inherited us the revolutionary technique of glass blowing since BCE 2000 which emphasize our work in Glass industry to elaborate the glass products using the latest state-of-the-art technology, and production methods.
o1983: MEG started as a manufacturing facility dedicated for supplying the local market demands of the Carbonated Soft drinks, in Egypt
0 2009: MEG signed an agreement with Toyo Glass, Japan and Techpack Solutions, South Korea to substantially modernize the plant, increase the furnace capacity, ACL decoration, and transfer the knowhow of NNPB production; the 3-years agreements insured a smooth training of our employees while increasing MEG's capacity to 340 tons/day. MEG is a proffered supplier to multinational companies locally and Internationally.
0 2011: MEG acquired 60% of Medco Plast, one of the largest Preforms, and Closures production facility in Egypt.
0 2014: MEG acquired Wadi Glass with total designed capacity of 128k TPA with total capacity to over 460k TPA.
0 2014, Gulf Capital, a leading private equity company in the gulf region acquired 35%.
0 End of 2015, MGM acquisition was completed with total capacity of 1050 tons I Day with 6 furnaces and 17 Production Lines producing 3 colors (Flint, Amber, and Green).
